Concert review Honey B
Jessica Mauboy is a world class performer. The fierce performer kicked off her To The End of the World tour in the Adelaide Entertainment Centre Theatre on Thursday (November 7) with a roar. This is Mauboy's first headlining national tour and she didn't disappoint her eager fans. When the lights went up the audience saw the stylish Mauboy standing facing the drums in shiny silver shorts and a tight matching top. Throughout the night the gorgeous star proved she had all of the right moves, right down to the flick of her glorious locks. She opened her show with a bang and sang several songs off of her debut album including Up/Down and Burn.Like any international act, Mauboy had many costume changes and all of her stage clothes were simply fabulous.Mauboy's young crowd was on their feet from the start and many made their way to the front of the stage to get closer to their idol. This gave Mauboy the perfect opportunity to truly connect to the crowd and it was obvious this show of support humbled the beaming artist. There were so many highlights during the high-energy night as Mauboy pumped out hit after hit.Stand-out songs included Inescapable, To The End of the Earth, Beautiful and her medley What Happened To Us with her close friend and support act Nathaniel Willemsie. Nathaniel also wowed the crowd with his brilliant vocals - his single You is out now.Mauboy couldn't resist the chance to swing on-stage thanks to her star turn in hit movie The Sapphires last year. Her versions of I Can't Help Myself, Who's Loving You and her original song, Gotcha. The powerhouse performer also showed off her incredible vocals on Whitney Houston and Cyndi Lauper covers I Have Nothing and Time After Time. There is no denying that Miss Mauboy is at home on the stage and that stage is getting bigger and bigger.
