Balloonatics 2: Get Pumped

Empire Theatre, Gluttony and The Pocket, Stirling Fringe until March 17

Review by Honey B

Scottish comedian Chris Henry is at the Adelaide Fringe recruiting for the Balloonatics army. The one recruitment rule in the Balloonatics is that you don’t have to be good at something for it to be fun. Henry certainly makes this kid-friendly show fun – and he’s not that bad at twisting a few balloons either. Henry has a wonderful enthusiastic energy and as an uncle to three youngsters he’s up on all the kid culture from infectious pop songs to emojis and super heroes. The adults are not forgotten either, with plenty of gags for the parents thrown in. What is lovely about this show is that nearly all of the kids get a chance to take part in the show if they want to and there are plenty of balloons for all. Don’t miss out and join the Balloonatic army this Fringe.
