Celia Pacquola in Let Me Know How It All Works Out

Adelaide Fringe, Garden of Unearthly Delights, Studio 7, until February 22

Review by Honey B

Celia Pacquola's latest comedy show, Let Me Know How It All Turns Out, was a true Tuesday night treat. Not knowing much about this funny-woman proved to be a surprise blessing because she provided an hour full of whacky stories and great belly laughs. Pacquola comes across so easy-going and chatty - just like a best friend. She wove her story about palm readers and psychics seamlessly around her life observations, tales about drinking, a rogue bus driver and her hilarious bed imitations. Pacquola's compelling story about Tony the festival palm reader was a corker and sure she's a bit neurotic but that made her all the more loveable and funny. It was good to know that whatever happens in the future, it was going to happen anyway. And Pacquola, in the end, had the story to prove it. The Adelaide Fringe is all about stumbling across shows and performers you don't know, along with seeing your faves. Pacquola now has a tent full of Tuesday night audience friends who couldn't get enough of this funny lady. This reviewer can't wait for her next show, but don't miss this one or you'll regret it.
