The Choir of Man

Adelaide Fringe, Gluttony, Moa until March 17

Review by Honey B

Grab a beer and take your seat at The Choir of Man. This foot-stomping, rollicking and pint-filled good time show features nine blokes raising the roof of their local – The Jungle. The boys aren’t afraid to mingle with the crowd as they enter the tent and there are a few drinks to go around. Soon enough we are introduced to the lads and the show has a very easy, laidback and fun feel. The guys have some very cool dance moves and are totally cheeky. Along with being fabulous singers, several play the piano or guitars and many audience members get to interact with the guys on- stage. This show is at its best when the lovable larrikins are belting the tunes out. Their version of Sia’s Chandelier was truly breathtaking and John Farnham’s You’re The Voice was an obvious hit as was Guns ‘n’ Roses’ Welcome to the Jungle. Throughout the performance the audience was up for a good old sing along with the boys. Here’s cheers to the Choir of Man.
